Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Liverpool last week when they welcome Hull City this weekend.
Fernando Torres was the difference between Chelsea and Liverpool last week scoring two late goals to keep his side's title challenge alive and all but sink Chelsea’s title hopes. The game was a scrappy one until Torres produced his magic.
Frank Lampard was sent off in a shocking decision, which has since been nullified by the FA, meaning that the England midfielder can play against Hull City. Chelsea have also strengthened their midfield options in January signing Ricardo Quaresma on loan from Inter Milan till the end of this season. The Blues have also signed Turkish midfielder Gokhan Tore from Bayer Leverkusen. Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is under pressure to produce results in what has been a lackluster season for Chelsea thus far.
Hull City meanwhile have faltered after a magical start to their Premiership season. The Tigers played out a 2-2 draw against West Brom last week with goals from Bernard Mendy and Craig Fagan nullifying strikes from Jay Simpson and Chris Brunt.

The Hammers have recovered from a shaky start and are not positioned in the top half of the Premiership table. In their last game, they beat Fulham 3-1 thanks to goals from David di Michele, Mark Noble and Carlton Cole.
Paul Konchesky clinched a consolation for the Cottagers. The win saw West ham rise to the 8th spot on the league table with 29 points from 22 games.
Meanwhile Hull City are still looking for their first Premier League win in the New year. Last week, the Tigers went down by 3-1 to Arsenal. Goals from Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Niklas Bendtner completed yet another miserable outing for Hull, whose lone goal was scored by Daniel Cousin.
